End of June/Grandma Gerties 90th

I hung out at my parents and played with Bif and Molly! Molly believes playing means tearing her toys' head off and ripping the stuff out! haha

And another saying "Me and Ned miss you" we loved Ned's Krazy Sub!

Then my family got together and went to the Elephant Bar for my dad's birthday! It was SOO good! His birthday was June 25th but we pretty much celebrated all weekend! He turned 45!

 Jeffery surprised him with a gift! A table he can use while he relaxes on his couch!

Another night that weekend my mom surprised my dad by taking him to Pizza Hut where Jeffery works and his friends came to join them!

I went to the gym quite a few times with my family! One night Alyn, my mom and I went together!

All summer I worked on a felt quiet book for my future kids! Alyn thinks its funny but I'd rather get this kind of stuff done now while I have time! Besides it kept me busy and distracted while Kirk was gone!

This is my favorite so far...inspired by Kirk!

One night my dad grilled steaks, potatoes, corn and bread for dinner and we ate outside on my parents new patio furniture under their new canopy!

 Alyn and I had a little outfit war through text!

 Saturday night we went to my Aunt Diane's house where they were having my great grandma Gertie's 90th birthday party! It was fun! We got to see family, eat dinner, and have birthday cake!

 Right when I got there I felt a little tap and Luke was standing behind me wanting to say hi! He got shy but ended up sitting with me at dinner! He is so cute and sweet! I ate then got cake and my dad said "Luke dont you think Whitney should eat a sandwich before she eats cake?" and he said yes and noticed I didnt have one on my plate! So he ripped his sandwich in half and gave it to me! He's always been near me whenever I'm around since my wedding! Stephanie said sometimes he asks "where's my cousin Whitney?" haha.

After the birthday party we went to downtown Mesa where they were holding a 4th of July carnival with tons of food, vendors and concerts! It was still like 105 degrees outside so we didnt stay too long! Afterwards we went to Pete's Fish and Chips cause we were still hungry!

Sunday afternoon after church we went to our family friends the Morris' house for dinner and cake for his birthday! We swam and I took this pic of their dog Milo to show Kirk! haha

Afterwards I had some spare time so I decided to highlight my hair! I guess real hairstylists can foil their own hair! haha

June 17-June 23

I went to yoga this week! It was different, Ive done yoga before in high school but just to relax during dance class! I expected it to be a lot more relaxing but it was more work! I could do a lot of the poses but some of them were kind of difficult and I wasnt use to being upside down! I'd love to go again...but maybe find a more relaxing class!

It was great because we got our SRP bill for the month and since we werent living there and turned everything off before we left we only had to pay the minimum...$29! Woo hoo! Saving money during the hottest part of the year!

 I finally went to the MVD to get the last thing on my list changed to my new last name...my driver's license! No one likes the MVD but I did not have a good time at all!! The lines are always long so after I got to the front desk and got my application she told me to go wait by the photo station! So they took my picture and told me to wait by the photo area for my name to be called...I assumed it was to get my license because everyone else was! So I waited and waited and waited and noticed that my number was skipped on their prompter! At first I thought I didnt need the number but I heard another women 45 mins earlier say her number was skipped and she had to tell someone! So I went to the photo station and the lady rudely said "what are you waiting for?" So I told her her I was waiting for my name to be called and my number was skipped on the prompter and she said "our prompters dont just skip number, you havent had your application looked at yet so you need to just sit and wait". I knew I wasnt going to get helped so I went to the front desk and told the lady! She phoned a lady at a window and said "this lady missed her number" I was so mad because I was paying attention! So she sent me to a window and 2 minutes after the lady started working on my application she said "oh no the computers are frozen...Ill go check the back and see what's going on". So I waited again...then I noticed all the ladies in the other windows were finishing up their work and my lady had been gone for 10 minutes! I saw her walking around and talking to different people, then she came back and said "oh look, the computers are back up!" She was sunburned and she smelled like lotion when she returned! I was so frustrated! So she finished, I took my application, finally got my license and left! I could've been there for 1 hour but I ended up being there for 2! Ugh I never want to go back!

I must have had a rough week because a few days later I got a flat tire! I was turning into a parking lot at 5:45pm so the sun was in my eyes and didnt notice that the curb turned so I ran right into it! I heard a big thump so when I parked I looked at it and I had a flat tire! I know how to change a tire but I couldnt figure out how to get Kirk's tire off! I called Austin Figueroa because he lived about a mile from where I was but he was going on a date in 15 minutes so he called Aaron Pew to come help me out! Lucky for me Aaron and his girlfriend Camille were leaving the gym so they came to the rescue! We couldnt get the tire off or find the right parts in the car so we had to run to Walmart to get a few things! Aaron found one part in the car and when I said how did you find it he said "Whitney you forget that Im a cop and am pretty good at searching vehicles"! We got it changed and I head home! 

It didnt help that when Kirk heard about it he wasnt having a very good day! Oops.

I tried to be patriotic and paint my toenails for the upcoming holiday!

One night I went with Alyn and Bishop to downtown Mesa! We parked the car and rode the lightrail to Mill Ave. and walked down to Slices, a good pizza place! We ate then went across the street to Urban Outfitters for some shopping! I found this necklace on sale for $5 and I loved it! It says "never let me go"

June 10-June 16

 Kirk has a new artist he likes and he sent me this song to listen to! She's different but pretty good! Summertime Sadness talks about being apart but loving each other! 

Another work out with my parents! Im getting so strong and Kirk is proud!

 On Monday before work I went to a hair show in Phoenix! It was an Enzo Milano class about their curling irons! We learned different techniques on curling, waves and vintage waves!

Kirk has been working hard and got 4 sales in one day!

 More ice cream! My dad asks for it every night haha

 I have been working hard on my felt quiet book! I hope it turns out great! 

Kirk worked out a little with Kevin Karges in the hotel gym!

 My dad made Roladin for dinner that was requested by Alyn! 

I had some spare time so I played with my hair a little! I tried a pixie and some bangs! After I sent the pic to Kirk he replied later saying he had been staring at my pixie picture and LOVED it! I was SO shocked! I thought maybe he was joking but later that night we face timed and for like an hour and Kirk was trying to convince me to cut my hair! I was really surprised! I am really attached to my long hair and want to keep it for as long as possible! Maybe one day when Im older ill be brave enough to have short hair!

I went over to Sam and Cherri's house to celebrate Sam's birthday and Annalee's birthday was 2 days later! During presents Cherri got out this teepee that she had when Kirk was little! 

Annalee turned 5 and Sam turned 58!
