Maxson's baby blessing

This Sunday we joined the Woodruff's in the Red Mountain ward for Maxson's baby blessing! We all sat together and the men of the family gathered around to be a part of the blessing! Casey gave a wonderful blessing and Maxson was so good the whole time! He wore an outfit borrowed from Megan and Scott and his shoes were Casey's that he wore during his own blessing! I thought that was pretty cool! Afterwards we all went to Sam and Cherri's house for food and hanging out!

After Thanksgiving Cherri emailed everyone about who they would be buying a present for! We got Logan, Blair, Annalee, Phoebe, and Ruthie and Weston and Amanda got us! We all got together after Christmas when Casey and Kimber got into town and opened up our sibling presents! Sam and Cherri got the grandkids coloring books, the girls dolls and Tristan a truck! Then the siblings exchanged and the girls opened their present from us! We got them a small shopping cart with fake food and they loved it! We got Logan and Blair a big clock for their wall and they liked that too! Weston and Amanda gave us a AMC movie card and the game Things! Its a fun game! We sent them a thank you through picture message!

Finally Sam and Cherri gave each couple a check to start out Hawaii savings fund! $100 will be a great start! We are so grateful for them!

Christmas Day

Kirk and I set our alarm for pretty early in the morning! We woke up at about 730 and opened our own presents! It was pretty fun having our own little Christmas morning! We set a spending limit for both of us but i think we both over spent! haha Kirk got me new Puma pants that are black and pink and SOOO comfy! I always steal his so he got me my own pair! He also got me some kitchen stuff (rolling pin, measuring cup, dish towels etc.),  jewelry (bracelets, 2 necklaces), bathroom stuff (new soft rug, towels and shower hangar), lotions and a new perfume from Victoria's Secret my favorite place!

 I got Kirk a new white, French cut church shirt and cufflinks! Funny story about the cufflinks...I saw Kirk liked them online so I found a guy in Missouri that hand makes them! They are bullet shells turned cufflinks! So I contacted him and send him 45mm bullet shells out of Kirk's stash that he's already shot! UPS wanted $56 to ship them! NO WAY! So the post office did it for $6! I didnt get them back in the mail til after Christmas which was a bummer but Kirk still LOVED them! He wears them every Sunday! I also him a lot of gun cleaning stuff and a cable to hook his laptop up to the TV so he can watch whatever he wants whenever he wants! We got awesome stuff!

Then we went to my parents house and my dad made an awesome breakfast! Waffles, crepes, bacon, sausage, german pancakes, buttermilk syrup and orange juice! My grandparents and great grandma Gertie joined us! We ate then all went into the big living room to get ready to open presents! Jeffery opened one first that was a huge flatscreen TV then we all joined in! My grandparents gave us all a card with money in it which was really nice! Bishop bought us all a GIANT size of our favorite candy bars which was cool! 

Alyn got lots of clothes and some nice make up brushes, Tyler got some baseball stuff, clothes and a new watch, Jeffery got some camping type stuff (he would love anything camo) and Bishop got clothes, some ITunes music cards, fun stuff and Beats by Dr. Dre...he was SO excited to get those! 

My mom gave me a Cricut...she has 2 so she gave me one and some fun accessories! My grandparents always give us a card for Christmas with money in it! I gave Alyn and my mom matching bracelets, my dad a tie and tie clip, Tyler a shirt (which he didnt like), and Jeffery a gift card to Bass Pro Shop! Tyler did not like most of his presents and told my mom to take them back which made my mom kind of upset! He also asked for my receipt for the shirt but instead of giving it to him i just returned his shirt and kept the money! He was not a trooper on Christmas...which was also his birthday. Which stinks but he always has a bad attitude about it and gives my mom a hard time so...oh well!

Anyways, Kirk and I went home and changed and then back to my parents house! We ate dinner with them! 

Show Low for Christmas

After Thanksgiving my parents had a family meeting and asked if we would rather go on a trip than getting presents! We decided to go half way and go on a smaller trip and also get presents! So my dad booked 2 joining hotel rooms and rented a SUV to carry all of us and our stuff! We left just after 9am on Saturday morning and headed to Show Low!

When we got there we went to Taco Bell for lunch (which happened to be strangely busy for some reason) and admired the snow outside! We went to the hotel and got comfortable! We decided we wanted to enjoy the cooler weather so we took a road trip to deeper snow! We pulled over to the side of the road and started making a snowman!

 Kirk and I threw some snowballs and tried to throw eachother into the snow! Jeffery made some kind of hole that he kept digging through til his whole body fit under the snow!

 Then we went back to the hotel, put our swimming suits on and got in the hot tub!

Jeffery brought his XBOX with Black Ops 2 and my dad brought 2 extra controllers and a projector! So during some of our down time the boys played Zombies on a sheet they hung up! They loved it!

Sunday morning we got up and went down to the continental breakfast! It was pretty good! We got ready and took a drive up the mountain to Sunrise Ski Resort!

Next to the slopes is a hill just for sledding, so we grabbed our sleds and took the walk up the hill over and over again! It was fun! Kirk and i went down together a couple times and usually ended up crashing! Unfortunately there was an Indian family that just hung out in the middle of the hill...they werent going down or anything and they were in the way! So my mom warned them someone would run into them! They didnt listen so Indian grandma and one of the men had to jump out of the way while Bishop bailed and his sled plowed through their camera bag! I dont think they knew what they were doing there! haha

We went back to the hotel and some of us jumped back in the hot tub and Jeffery and Kirk played Zombies! After that the rest of us did a little shopping! We went to Big Lots, Payless and Ross! Alyn and I were too excited to be there because we found lots of things to try on! We got a few things and called it a good day!

When we were done we all went to Mexican Food! We then went back to the  hotel and relaxed!

Monday morning we got up, ate the hotel breakfast and packed up to leave! We stopped in Payson and ate lunch at Arby's! We were a little nervous because a snow storm was coming but we passed it on the way down! It was a fun trip!
