Vivint Gives Back!

Because they work so hard sometimes the guys like to let loose and have fun! The pool is always the perfect place for summer time fun! They play a game every year that involves a vaseline covered watermelon, wrestling and muscles! Apparently the apartment staff saw it and loved it because they decided to play the same game during their pool opening party! Look at those tan lines!!

For one of the manager's (Jason) birthday we had a game night at his house! We played Mafia!

They had one week of games during the Olympics called Office Olympics! This is one of the games...an egg toss! Kirk and his partner did VERY well and got 2nd place!

Vivint gives back and they called 2012 their YEAR OF SERVICE! So each office volunteered in some way or another for service! Our office went to Goodwill and helped out! Some of the wives went but they went early in the morning and i didnt wake up :(

Kirk's 24th Birthday

One of the last events we had in Houston was Kirk's birthday party! He turned the big 2-4! We invited the whole office to RA sushi! We fell in love with sushi over the summer! I made invitations that were motocross themed with Kirk's picture and decorated a chocolate cake i ordered from Sam's Club! i was pretty proud of myself! I got Kirk a few presents...a cover for his new ipad and a few shirts!

Museums

In June we also went to a few museums! We stopped at the Holocaust museum and the health museum!  The Holocaust museum was pretty sad...I kind of rushed through it and skipped at least a whole wall of pictures! The health museum was pretty fun they had a lot of different things about the body and mind! They had one funny machine that showed you what you would look like old and different ethnicities! Heres a pic of me if i was African American!

NASA Space Museum

When Alyn was in town we went to the NASA space museum since it was only about 45 mins away! It was interesting, although more geared towards kids! They had an entire play area for kids and a few kid friendly shows! There was a train that took you to see something for an hour but the line was too long to wait so we didnt go!

Skydiving!!

Kirk works in the Houston Central Office of Vivint's company and when Tyler Mickelson (the regional manager) comes to town he usually pushes the reps to do their best and gives them good incentives! One thing he did this time was offer them an opportunity to skydive on Vivint! So, or course, Kirk took that challenge! Most of the office got to go, even some of the wives joined! It was Kirk's second time going! I had to fly home (Mesa) to work for a few days and left the day before he went so I missed it :(

But Im glad he was safe and had fun! He's so brave!

The Tomahawk

This is Kirk's second summer selling and he does a great job! The managers set a goal that if a salesman reaches his highest number of sales in a week they pick then they will treat them to dinner at the Taste of Texas for its infamous steak called the Tomahawk! It's a HUGE $60 steak and its sooo good! Kirk let me have a few bites! I also got dinner and the restaurant was so nice!

Pool Day

Every few weeks Kirk's regional manager and his wife would come to Houston to check on things! They're a fun couple! We had a BBQ for the office! It was fun and one of the guys Nick Houston had gone to Hawaii on his mission and did some fire dancing! It was awesome!

Oh and my sister came to Houston for a week! Then we left together back to Az so i could work!

I tried to show her around and we hung out with the girls quite a bit!

We went to the malls, the pool, tried to make lace shorts and Red Mango yogurt!
