Uncle Jack's Funeral

My great uncle Jack got sick a while ago and passed away on a Wednesday night. He was my grandma's older brother and reaching about 70 years old. He was a hard worker and loved old cars! He worked on them and took them to shows all over the west side! One time i went on a date and the guy said "hey theres a car show going on down the street i want to take you!" And when we got there i saw my uncle Jack! haha

They had a family meeting and planned a funeral for him on Saturday morning! My grandma called and asked me to lead the music...i was a little surprised because i have no experience in leading!
We got to the church (which ended up being Kirk's old church building) and saw the parking lot full of old, antique show cars!

We had a family meeting in the Relief Society room where we had a prayer and closed his casket. My poor aunt Nelda was so sad :( Then we went into the chapel and to my surprise it was completely full of his friends! They even had to get extra chairs. Kirk and I sat on the stand. I warned the pianist i had no idea what i was doing! haha My uncle Mel spoke and told some stories of their growing up, my aunt April sang, the Bishop spoke and my aunt Diane said a prayer.
After, they took him to the cemetery and some of the family went followed by a long train of friends in old cars!
My family stayed to help get lunch ready that was catered by a Mexican restaurant. Kirk, Jeffery, Bishop and I went to QT for drinks and Kirk took us to his old house to show us! When we got back most of the family was back and we all got ready for lunch! Then we filled the cultural hall and and ate!

We sat next to my mom's cousin Nick...Jack's only son. It was kind of sad, he didnt mingle or talk much but everyone told him to stick around and start hanging out with the family!

It ended up being an ok day!
