Labor Day

On Labor Day my mom and I were off work and Alyn was out of school so it was a perfect opportunity to go shopping! They picked me up and we went to the new Outlets off of the I-10! I had never been before and some of the stores were having sales but I was surprised how much was regular priced! After we went to Mills Mall, shopped, got Wetzel's Pretzels for lunch and ran through the pouring rain to our car! We stopped at San Tan Mall on the way home and did a little shopping there too! I tried not to spend too much money and my mom and Alyn not wanting to stay at Forever21 helped because they were having a 50% off sale on the clearance! A SALE ON CLEARANCE! I couldve spent all my money there! I got one clearance item and a regular priced thing from H&M...those holidays are tricky, they'll get ya!

4th Of July in Lafayette (pronounced Laugh-yet)

Kirk went out knocking a little bit earlier in the day so he could come home earlier! He had a pretty good day! I went out to the pool with Harmony Karges and just hung out for a while! The guys came home after 6 so we got ready and left for dinner! We went to a BBQ restaurant the guys had been to before called 2Paul's, its "radically urban barbeque"! I got a stuffed potato which was a baked potato covered in cheese and pulled pork, it was so good! Kirk got a pulled pork sandwich and he liked his too!

Then we drove around looking for downtown Lafayette where the 4th of July festivities were being held! The directions took us to the University of Lafayette which was totally empty so we kept searching and eventually found it! There were a lot of kids activities, bands playing and some food! We just walked around, hung out and found a curb to sit on and wait for the fireworks! They were awesome and the finale was amazing! The last 3 years we've been in different states for the 4th of July and its always fun!

Weston in town & Grandpa Woodruff's Birthday

During the weekend we had some visitors! Weston and Amanda with their 2 kids came on Friday morning and soon after them Grandpa Woodruff flew in! Abby is so cute, when she walked in she said "Hi, Im Abby Woodruff", "This is daddy Woodruff" and "Im free years old" haha. Britton has gotten so big he slowing walking now and is always smiling! Whenever he starts to walk Abby lays in front of him! Friday night we all had a BBQ together and just hung out!

Saturday morning everyone went to help Scott with some yard work! Scott has been working on his yard for a while and doing it mostly by himself! Then they came over to check out our house!

They ran errands and went to Tia Rose's for lunch! Kirk and I went to Cherri and Sam's house where we found Amanda hanging out with Britton! Then everyone showed up, the kids played, the girls planted flowers, and the adults talked!

 Soon Uncle David showed up! He drove in from New Mexico for the weekend! Originally him and grandpa were coming to see an airshow but it was canceled so they just decided to come and hang out!
Kirk took a few people on a ride in the Rhino and we played outside with the kids!

Sunday was St. Patrick's Day! Uncle David left and in the afternoon we all got together! We ate dinner (Kirk and I brought mashed potatoes from scratch...they all said he's amazing at making then and he is)! Then we had a family home evening where they consecrated oil for everyone to have some! After that we had a little birthday celebration for Grandpa Woodruff!

 Ruthie was playing around on Blair's Iphone and she could totally use it all by herself! She would touch it with her finger and move the screen! Genius baby!

Him and Weston left early the next morning! We all have so much fun when we get together! All the nieces and nephews make it so entertaining!

Valentine's Day

Kirk and I didnt have any huge plans for Valentine's Day although it is our first one being married which is the best! I woke up with Kirk while he got ready for work and before he left I gave him a card and a gift certificate to get a massage at the place my mom took me for my birthday! He said he had never had a massage before so Im excited for him! Then he went to work! I stayed home and cleaned and organized our craft/work/gun room! During his break, Kirk came home and brought me tulips! They were so pretty! Its funny because we noticed they opened up a lot then at night the close back up!

 We hung out a bit then he went back to work! After work he came home, changed and we left for dinner! We went to Venezia's for pizza and wings! It was crowded!

Then we visited Annalee, Phoebe and Ruthie while Sam and Cherri babysat them! We watched the movie Brave with them then they went to bed! Kirk and I went home and enjoyed spending time together then we went to bed! It was a good day!
I didnt decorate too much but I did make this super cute banner!

I love Kirk so much and am so grateful to have him in my life! He is the best man I know and he makes me so happy! Im excited to spend our life together and enjoy all the fun were gonna have...then we'll enjoy the rest of eternity together!

New Years!

I am lucky to have had my second new years with Kirk! New Year's Eve morning we went with Logan, Casey and Sam to Sycamore in the desert to go shooting! It was full of people but we found a spot on the top of a hill! It was freezing and the second we got our stuff set up it started raining!

 But we shot through it and it went away! We had fun shooting! Kirk's favorite is his 9mm and i love to shoot the 22! I had the most fun when Kirk and i had a little competition but my gun kept jamming so i called it a draw! haha

Afterwards we went to In-N-Out for lunch! It was pretty fun!
Between our events i ran to work to give Bishop his fun new years haircut!

We went over to Sam and Cherri's for dinner and got to see Bill and Jean! They came into town to hang out and spend the night! This whole weekend weve spent with Kirk's family while Casey and Kimber are in town! We played with the kids and watched a movie! At 9pm we left to get ready for the New Years party that Jessie Allred and Jacquie Lyman put on!

 I bought a new dress and i was SO excited to wear it! We showed up at about 10, ate some food and watched some of the guys play a dancing game!

 Some more people showed up and we took pics with the photo back drop!

Then we played a name game where we had to guess actors from the 90's! Finally it was midnight and we watched the countdown on tv! Once midnight hit I got my New Year's kiss from the most handsome man at the party!

We made lots of noise, threw confetti and grabbed sparklers! We went outside, lit our sparklers and watched some fireworks! After that we went home and went to sleep just before 2am! It was fun!
