Christmas Card

I have always looked forward to being married so I could send out a Christmas card! Unfortunately this year I was too busy and didnt get them out til just before Christmas so I didnt get to send out very many! But I made it up pretty quick on the computer from our engagement pictures my Aunt Lorri took! They turned out good enough for a last minute card! We loved all the cards we got from family and friends! 

Kirk in Cali

For the last couple months Kirk has joined a new sales group called Elite! We loved Vivint and the people there! But Kirk was not too excited about going back to Houston next summer and being stuck in the same spot! He needs a fresh start to selling to get excited and motivate himself! This team is smaller, moves from place to place and stays in hotel suites instead of apartments! Theyre also going to be in Louisiana which is a huge change! Most of Louisiana has been left untouched by other companies and sales team so theres a lot of hope for a good summer selling! Kirk went with most of the guys to Cali for about 4 days to do some preseason selling! I missed him so much and stayed at my parents house so I wasnt alone! He said he enjoyed it and is looking forward to the summer! He got a sale which is a good start! Im sure he'll do well!

Its Feeling A lot Like Christmas!

When Christmas was coming around Kirk and I knew we wanted a real tree! We love that it makes the house smell good and we hope to get one every year! We went to Home Depot, picked out a tree and tied it to the top of the car! We were a little nervous it would fall off the car but it did fine! We found out about a week later that real trees are banned from the housing....so we'll just not tell anyone! haha
I used my ornaments I got from growing up and bought Kirk another one this year! My grandparents gave us a new ornament this year that said married in 2012 with a bride and groom! I also decided the theme of it would be red and gold!

The Christmas calendar was a gift from Cherri last year! She made 5 of them to give to all her daughter/daughter-in-laws one day!

I was so excited to display some of our Christmas cards we got!

More Temple Lights!

I just cant get enough of the temple lights! I love the lights at Christmas time! We went after dinner one Sunday night with my family! The boys didnt go but Bishop came with us! It was the first time he's seen them and im sure its not the last! He loved them and went again for mutual on Wednesday! It got pretty cold too!

Alyn's Winterformal

Saturday night Kirk and I helped my family cater a dinner for my sister's winterformal dance! There were 24 high schoolers all dressed up and ready for the dance! The boys did most of the cooking and my mom and I acted as waitresses getting their food and refilling drinks! We helped decorating and it turned out looking pretty nice! I also did Alyn's hair for the dance...as usual!

Temple Lights

One of my favorite things about Christmas time is the lights around the Mesa Temple! We are lucky to live so close to a temple that is visited by so many people, especially during Christmas time! You can ask almost anyone that has lived around Mesa for a year or longer and theyve seen or heard of the temple and/or the temple lights! I love them! Logan and Blair asked us to babysit the girls so we took them to the temple! They were very excited and loved the lights!

Christmas Tree

My family has always had the tradition that all of us together would set up and decorate the Christmas tree! We each have our own box of ornaments and are responsible for saving and hanging them! My parents picked up a real tree! I didnt have any ornaments for their tree but its always my job to help anyway!

 My mom found this little big guy in one of the boxes and she about had a heart attack!
